Job Summary
Patrol hospital buildings and grounds, inspecting security hazards, unsecured doors, and windows while operating weapons detection systems and monitoring surveillance cameras. Respond immediately to all calls for assistance, emergency codes, and alarms, providing traffic control, de-escalating distressed persons, and rendering aid. Enforce the access control program by issuing visitor and vendor badges, identifying unauthorized individuals, and securing doors according to schedule. Conduct preliminary investigations for incidents, property damage, and lost items, then submit detailed incident reports. Handle disruptive situations using de-escalation techniques and restraint protocols, provide escorts for patients and visitors, and screen guests following safety protocols. Operate fire equipment and assist in emergency operations centers as directed by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED Diploma
- Active US drivers license in good standing
- Customer service background and the ability to communicate effectively
- GED or HiSET
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- 3-6 months of military, police, fire, corrections, behavioral health, or healthcare security experience
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field
