Job Summary

Postdoctoral researcher sought for a 24-month, fully funded position at IÉSEG School of Management (Lille, France) contributing to the Horizon Europe JUSTPLACE project. The role combines research and project coordination in regional science, economic geography, and territorial analysis, with responsibilities including literature reviews, data collection/management/analysis, comparative territorial analyses, drafting scientific deliverables, and dissemination through conferences and publications. The successful candidate will collaborate with international partners, assist the Principal Investigator in coordination tasks, monitor scientific tasks, prepare internal documents and meetings, and contribute to reporting and synthesis. Requirements include a completed PhD in a related field by appointment time, strong methodological capabilities in quantitative and qualitative analysis, proficiency in English for academic writing, and demonstrated ability to work in an interdisciplinary, international environment. Required Qualifications

  • Completed PhD in regional science, economic geography, geography, spatial planning, territorial economics, urban studies, political geography, or closely related field by appointment time
  • Solid research background in territorial analysis and comparative research; expertise in regional science, economic geography, or territorial studies
  • Knowledge of academic literature on regional inequalities, spatial justice, and territorial cohesion
  • Ability to engage with quantitative and qualitative methods; ability to work in international/interdisciplinary environment
  • Fluency in English; experience in academic writing and publishing in English
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills; ability to manage deadlines
  • Prior experience in European research projects, spatial analysis, or comparative international research is an asset
  • Knowledge of statistical, spatial, or qualitative data analysis software is appreciated
  • French language knowledge is a plus but not required
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion in academia
