Job Summary
Regional Sales Manager at GA Industries (VAG USA, LLC) responsible for driving sales growth and market share within an assigned territory for valve products serving municipal water and wastewater. Leads regional sales strategy, manages a network of independent manufacturers’ representative firms, engages consulting engineers, municipalities, and end users; leads product presentations, technical training sessions, and front-line application engineering in coordination with internal engineering resources; identifies, qualifies, and manages opportunities from specification through award; collaborates with inside sales on competitive quotations; maintains opportunity management and forecasts in Salesforce; builds relationships with engineers, municipal decision-makers, contractors, and distributors; monitors market trends and represents the company at industry events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of sales or technical sales experience in the municipal water and/or wastewater industry; valve or process equipment experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience working with or managing manufacturer’s representative firms
- Strong understanding of the municipal project lifecycle, including specification, bidding, and procurement processes
- Ability to influence specifications and build credibility with consulting engineers
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate product applications
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales forecasting
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (approximately 50%)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
