Job Summary
Regional Sales Manager for the Northern VA market who will lead an independent agency force to achieve territory financial objectives through strategic sales initiatives, agency relationship development, and tactical business planning. Responsibilities include identifying and appointing agencies, developing annual production and flow plans, maintaining in-person producer relationships, executing territory-specific sales strategies, analyzing local market trends, monitoring performance metrics, and cross-functional collaboration to improve agency efficiency. Role operates on a hybrid field schedule with one day remote from home and four days in-territory travel for in-person agency meetings within the Northern VA market (VA, DC, MD, DE). Requires extensive travel within the territory, strong leadership and communication skills, and a track record of driving growth in insurance sales and agency partnerships. Relocation assistance is not available. Employment offers are contingent upon background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; or five to ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 6+ years of insurance marketing or sales leadership experience
- Direct home insurance (personal lines property) experience is required
- Strong agency management expertise with demonstrated production growth results
- Financial and business acumen with the ability to analyze territory performance
- Proven ability to build and sustain long-term internal and external relationships
- Strong strategic thinking and market analysis capability
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and listening skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic environment
- Ability to travel extensively within Riverside and San Bernardino Counties
- Combined personal and commercial lines experience
- Experience collaborating directly with agency principals and producers
- Demonstrated success executing territory growth strategies
