Job Summary

Set and maintain short and long-term sales strategy for the UPL US product portfolio in the Midwest region while increasing revenue for new and existing product lines. Develop key relationships with distribution, retailers, and grower decision-makers, then coordinate selling activities with UPL Teams including KAM, NPP, and Customer Marketing to align with regional plans. Oversee account plans featuring SWOT analysis, business opportunities, and inventory understanding, while delivering the Customer Operating Unit and NFC92 Retail strategy. Manage and direct a sales force of 15 direct reports through coaching, development, and training to achieve $300M gross sales and $500K budget objectives. Produce weekly call reports, sales forecasts, and other required data, communicating competitive intelligence and market trends to leadership. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or 10 years of agrichemical experience, with 70% travel on the job.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Agriculture or similar field
  • at least 10 years of experience in an agrichemical environment
  • Key Market knowledge of US Agriculture
  • Understanding of crop protection markets
  • Understanding of distribution channels
  • Understanding of cropping practices in the representative geography
  • Ability to work independently as part of a cross functional team
  • Demonstrated Financial and Business acumen
  • ability to develop forecasts
  • ability to create business plans
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to present clear, concise data to individuals and in a group setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills
