Job Summary
Regional Sales Manager for Abbott’s Rapid and Molecular Diagnostics Infectious Disease business overseeing a West US region. Lead a team of 8 Account Managers and Sales Development Managers to meet regional sales goals across Hospital, Physician Office Labs, Urgent Care, and Private Lab markets, with an emphasis on ID NOW, BinaxNOW, Determine HIV-1/2, and related diagnostics. Duties include planning and directing sales activities, coaching the regional team, recruiting sales professionals, managing distributor accounts, coordinating sales and marketing programs, budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring high-quality customer relationships. Requirements include a BA/BS (sales/marketing/business preferred), 7+ years in sales with 3+ years in field leadership (preferred), strong Enterprise/clinical diagnostics know-how, and Salesforce/MS Office proficiency. 75% travel expected; US-based remote with regional responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS, preferably in sales, marketing, business management, or related coursework.
- Experience in sales with 3+ years managing field staff (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of complex sales methods in the diagnostic market.
- Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of Salesforce.com or similar solutions.
