Regional Sales Manager

Job Summary

Call on multiple call points within multi-state VA facility territories to market applicable products and perform needs analysis with clinicians across various hospital departments. Identify key stakeholders to setup clinical in-services and product demonstrations, then submit quotes and develop relationships within procurement departments to secure sales. Partner with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners to establish educational in-service meetings for VA staff while driving continued sales growth and meeting annual budget expectations. Submit quarterly updates to leadership on tactical plans and maintain accurate CRM records of all customer interactions and opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass drug testing
  • Must be able to hear and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Extensive use of a computer
  • Up to 75% travel
  • 2-3 overnights per week
  • 3-4 VA Facility visits per week
  • Home office/admin week every 4th week
  • Occasional weekend and evening work
  • Punctuality and regular attendance
  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere
  • Must be able to work under supervision
  • Must follow all employee health and safety cleaning protocols
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • 2 years medical sales experience
  • Prior experience selling into VA, DoD, or federal healthcare systems
  • Familiarity with federal procurement pathways
  • Working knowledge of CRM platforms and ERPs
  • Sales intel platforms including Power BI
  • Bachelor's degree or clinical certification
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to work independently, and in teams, to consistently meet commitments
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Utilizes proactive approach to issues and problem solving
  • High personal discipline, attention to detail and work quality
  • Desire and motivation to learn new skills and expand knowledge to improve job performance and self-improvement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels
  • Strives for excellence and upholds organizational standards such as cooperation and confidentiality
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a complex, long-cycle environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and rapport in clinical and administrative environments

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
