Job Summary

Regional Sales Manager responsible for driving revenue across a Midwest territory (Michigan or Indiana base) in a remote-eligible, high-autonomy role. Lead and support a network of independent manufacturers' representatives, manage quotes and open orders, deliver product and applications training, develop annual sales plans and budgets, and collaborate with internal teams to address aftermarket, warranty, and customer-satisfaction issues. Cultivate relationships with customers, key accounts, and system integrators; present to customers and channel partners on technical scope, pricing, and delivery timelines; identify underpenetrated markets and build target account lists. Frequent travel (approximately 50%) for customer visits, representative support, and sales activity. Requires strong technical aptitude to discuss equipment applications and specifications across industries such as food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and chemicals; track record of territory growth and revenue achievement; comfortable communicating with reps and internal teams; skilled in presentations, relationship-building, and strategic planning. Base compensation targeted at $100–$120k plus commission/bonus.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of sales experience in capital equipment, industrial machinery, or related technical field; material handling or processing equipment background is a plus
  • experience managing independent manufacturer's representatives or other channel partners
  • strong technical aptitude with ability to speak credibly about equipment applications and specifications
  • demonstrated track record of growing a sales territory and hitting revenue targets
  • excellent communication and presentation skills
  • strong relationship-building instincts across customers, reps, and internal teams
  • self-directed, with sound independent commercial and technical judgment
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM familiarity is a plus
