Job Summary
Regional Sales Manager leads a team of Area Sales Managers, manages strategic regional accounts, drives profitable growth, coordinates order-related workflows to ensure on-time shipping, prepares pricing deviations, communicates customer requirements to internal partners, supports receivables, provides multi-product sales forecasts by customer, manages expenses, monitors competitor activity, and represents Winpak at trade shows. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration aligned with ISO 9001 standards, and requires 50%+ travel across the U.S. west of the Mississippi, with Midwest-based candidates preferred. Responsibilities include coaching and development of sales teams, relationship building with large accounts, and achieving territory objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) is an asset.
- 2+ years of national account selling experience.
- 5+ years of packaging experience (technical and/or commercial) with a focus on strategic sales growth.
- Demonstrated ability to grow business within large, complex customer organizations and develop strong customer partnerships.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Track record of working to KPIs and achieving targets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- The ability to travel 50%+ is a requirement
