Regional Sales Manager - Dairy

Job Summary
Obtain capital equipment orders within a yearly budget set by the Director for your dedicated territory. Develop relationships with key buyers to identify, qualify, and pursue leads while gathering market intelligence on competition, pricing, and project status. Penetrate the market proactively to generate new business opportunities for GEA systems in the Dairy application area. Coordinate sales efforts with product managers, engineers, and purchasing staff to ensure a unified customer approach. Participate in trade shows as assigned, negotiate terms of sale, and deliver persuasive formal proposal presentations. Manage expense accounts for travel and entertainment while reporting activity, proposal status, and forecasts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Dairy Industry and/or Technical experience in applicable technologies
- Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate technical data and engineering systems
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
- Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently
- Experience of minimum 3 years with spray drying and other dairy techniques
- Must have a passport and a US Drivers License
- Applicant must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
- Applicant travel approximately 50%
- Must reside in the mid-west region
Desired Qualifications
- Experience Technologies include Evaporation, Spray Drying, Powder Handling and Packaging
- Experience in Liquid Processing, Membrane Filtration
- Skills in contract negotiations and other relevant experience
- Must reside in the mid-west region a plus
