Job Summary
Manage sales and support of Renishaw metrology products including Calibration, Machine Tool, CMM, and Styli through OEM, distribution, and end-user channels within the Central US Region. Develop and deliver customer presentations, establish accounts, and achieve set sales targets while leveraging a CRM to maintain and grow the book of business. Demonstrate technical proficiency in precision measurement equipment and engineering principles to educate new customers and open opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of technical sales experience with proven track record, selling technology and solutions to OEM's, OEM distributors and end users
- Experience with sale of precision measurement equipment (e.g. CNC Machine Tool, Gauging, CMM, Form, Finish, and Calibration products)
- Demonstrate eligibility to use and access ITAR controlled data
- Goal-driven with the ability to be resilient if faced with rejection
- Persistence in achieving and exceeding key metrics and sales targets
- Comprehension and understanding of engineering principles
- Understanding principals of metrology
- Ability to learn, understand and explain the technical aspects of products
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels/functions of staff, including management, technical staff and purchasing
- Strong communication skills, including written and verbal
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to adapt to diverse personalities (customers, engineers, internal partners)
- Demonstrated ability and success in cold-calling and educating new customers to open new opportunities to companies that may not have heard of Renishaw
- Attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
- Experience with and confidence in using technology, including: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Capability to sell solutions (listening, documenting, constructing, presenting and delivering)
- History of self-motivation and results orientation
- Time management/multitasking capability
- Mechanical aptitude (working with machinery and motion systems)
Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree CNC or CMM programming experience
