Regional Sales Manager - Central USA

Job Summary

Develop new business and manage existing accounts throughout the Central U.S. territory, prioritizing opportunities across military and commercial markets. Map, penetrate, and close deals while building relationships with buyers, technical stakeholders, and executive leadership. Manage multiple manufacturers' representative firms, hold representatives accountable for performance, and coordinate regional travel to meet prospective and existing customers. Respond to inbound inquiries, develop technical solutions for RFPs and RFQs, and deliver presentations to customers and internal leadership. Maintain accurate opportunity data in Salesforce, collaborate on sales goals and bookings forecasts, and generate quotes and proposals. Requires 5+ years of B2B sales experience in power electronics, ability to travel up to 50%, and proficiency with CRM and ERP systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science required, preferably in Engineering or Management
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience within power electronics or related technical products
  • Experience selling to end-user Department of Defense customers
  • Experience managing manufacturers' representative firms
  • Working knowledge of CRM and ERP systems
  • Experience developing customer quotes and proposals
  • Experience with lead generation, prospecting, and opportunity management
  • Strong leadership, self-motivation, time management, and ability to operate independently
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including executive-level presence
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%, including customer visits and industry trade shows

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA is a plus
  • Experience with government contracting research platforms such as Bloomberg Government or similar tools
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Formal sales training such as Sandler or Miller Heiman is a plus
