Job Summary
Regional Sales Manager for Auto Insurance in Indianapolis responsible for generating revenue and meeting sales targets by establishing and maintaining relationships with independent agencies within the designated territory. Duties include initiating agency contacts, identifying decision makers, communicating our contact information, understanding agency history and operations, assessing growth opportunities, analyzing agency metrics, positioning products/services to meet agency needs, defining mutually agreed timelines and measurable outcomes, and ensuring results are trackable. The role requires 16-20 in-person sales calls per week, travel between appointments, diligent calendar management, and documenting visits within 24 hours. Education includes an associate degree or equivalent experience; valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required; a 220 license is preferred but not required. Travel approximately 50% of the time within the assigned territory. Qualifications emphasize strong communication, presentation, negotiation, CRM familiarity, self-motivation, and a passion for sales.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in business, Communications, Marketing, a related field or equivalent work experience
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- 220 license preferred but not required
- 3 years of proven experience in field sales or a related role with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Bilingual fluency preferred but not required: English and Spanish
