Job Summary
Regional Sales Engineer for Indirect Applied Business responsible for driving growth across Sub-Saharan Africa by developing and managing indirect partner channels, appointing and onboarding channel partners, delivering partner training and sales support, providing pre-sales engineering support for Applied HVAC solutions (chillers, pumps, AHUs, and airside equipment), and maintaining CRM data, pipeline, and forecasts while travel across the region 50-70%. The role requires strong technical aptitude in HVAC systems, ability to interpret drawings, and excellence in relationship-building and regulatory compliance across South Africa. You may reside in any city within South Africa to perform this role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in Applied HVAC equipment sales
- Experience working with indirect/channel partners
- Strong knowledge of chillers, cooling systems, pumps, hydronic systems, and airside equipment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of regional market dynamics, compliance requirements, and regulatory environments
