Job Summary
Lead implementation of corporate EHS programs across assigned projects in Northern California, ensuring site-specific safety plans, JSAs, and compliance documents are completed and maintained. Conduct field evaluations, perform regular inspections and audits, and identify hazards to implement corrective actions while monitoring OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and environmental regulatory requirements. Manage accident, injury, and near-miss investigations, coordinate reporting and regulatory documentation, and support workers' compensation and return-to-work processes. Mentor site safety professionals, deliver training on regulatory compliance, and partner with operations leaders to drive continuous improvement and industrial hygiene initiatives. Based in Vallejo with occasional travel to western US operations, this role requires OSHA 500 certification and a CSP or comparable credential.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 500 Certification
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA construction regulations
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or comparable BCSP certification
- Strong knowledge of Fall Protection
- Strong knowledge of Respiratory Protection
- Strong knowledge of Confined Space Entry
- Strong knowledge of Hazard Communication
- Strong knowledge of Lead Abatement
- Strong knowledge of Industrial Hygiene Principles
- Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in construction, industrial services, coatings, or related industries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health, or a related field
- Five (5) years' experience in a similar position
- Experience supporting heavy industrial, coating, or specialty contracting operations
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
