Job Summary
Utilize the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model to provide patient care while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate patient care with other departments and ensure patients' rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with established nursing guidelines, the goals of Mercy Health System, and the Code of Professional and Business Ethics. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of acute care experience. Position involves prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program
- Current RN licensure with State Board of Nursing in the applicable state of practice or current temporary work permit in the applicable state of practice
- Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of nursing experience in acute care
- Six months of this experience should be within the last year
