Job Summary
The Quality Control Custodial Specialist conducts inspections of custodial work across multiple locations to ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards. Responsible for evaluating cleanliness of offices, restrooms, hallways, and other facilities, documenting findings with quality-control checklists and inspection reports, identifying deficiencies, and recommending corrective actions. Also trains and coaches custodial staff on cleaning procedures and quality standards, communicates inspection results to the Associate Director of Environmental Services, tracks performance metrics, and prepares quality assurance reports. Acts as a back-up to the Regional Custodial Manager(s) including administrative support, emergency response, and operational oversight. Competencies include strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, digital technology usage, leadership, professionalism, career management, and global/intercultural fluency. The role requires independent work, travel between locations, and basic computer skills for reporting and recordkeeping.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year prior custodial/janitorial experience required
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and travel between locations
- Walking, standing, bending throughout the day
- Basic computer skills for reporting and recordkeeping
