Regional QA Analyst - 2nd Shift - Altavista, VA Plant

Job Summary

Verify supplier documentation for North America regional accuracy and release designated packaging materials to manufacturing. Perform testing, review documentation, and execute acceptance programs for multiple sites while maintaining error-free administrative functions. Troubleshoot testing problems, manage out-of-specification conditions, and coordinate with vendors and plant personnel. Train new analysts on laboratory operations, methods, and safety procedures. Work the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, ensuring full compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, and Abbott regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) plus work experience

  • Ability to complete project work as assigned by supervision and management
  • Ability to maintain an adequate inventory of all supplies related to the Regional Incoming Laboratory

  • Ability to follow proper lab procedures
  • Ability to ensure the proper functionality of lab equipment
  • Ability to complete related documentation
  • Ability to comply with applicable FDA (GMP), USDA, OSHA, Kosher dietary requirements, Halal dietary requirements and Abbott regulations, policies, procedures or guidelines
  • Shift: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri

Desired Qualifications

  • Mathematics knowledge would include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, proportions, and basic keyboard skills, computer skills and statistical comprehension is desirable
