Job Summary
Regional Psychiatrist in Nevada responsible for overseeing psychiatric clinical programs, conducting evaluations and assessments, providing medication management, maintaining medical records, and offering clinical oversight of PMHNPs in the Idaho practice; collaborate with therapists, psychologists, and social workers, participate in treatment team meetings, and stay current through continuing education. Service areas include Las Vegas, Henderson, Reno, and Fallon.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry
- two years of post-residency experience as a psychiatrist in a psychiatric facility
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
- Licensure as a physician in applicable state
- Licensed by the applicable State Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances
- Possession of a valid state driver’s license may be required
- Knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry
- Ability to diagnose and treat severely and persistently mentally ill patients
- Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality
