Job Summary
REGIONAL PROPERTY MANAGER responsible for directing day-to-day operations across a portfolio of communities throughout Metro Detroit. Lead Property Managers and site teams, manage budgeting and financial reporting, drive occupancy and revenue improvements, and develop personnel. Collaborate with ownership and the corporate office, implement marketing and advertising strategies, conduct site visits and inspections, ensure compliance with company policies and fair housing regulations, and oversee hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Travel across the Metro Detroit portfolio is required. Kaftan Communities emphasizes fairness, accountability, and ownership while delivering operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in property management, including multi-site or regional oversight
- Strong financial acumen with experience reviewing budgets, financial statements, and variance reporting
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing property management teams
- Knowledge of fair housing regulations and applicable local/state property management laws
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the Metro Detroit portfolio
- Proficiency with property management software (Yardi experience preferred) and Microsoft Office
- A valid driver’s license and current insurance
