Job Summary

Manage operations and maximize financial value for a diverse, multi-site residential portfolio of affordable apartment communities in Florida. Review monthly financial reports, prepare owner reports, and attend asset management meetings while ensuring high unit occupancy and adherence to property standards. Lead on-site staff, supervise community managers, and enforce safety and regulatory compliance. Prepare budgets, negotiate contracts, and conduct inspections to maintain high aesthetic levels and resident satisfaction. This role requires daily to multi-day travel to properties within the assigned portfolio and extensive time on-site in the West Palm Beach metro region. Annual pay ranges from $90k to $115k, with eligibility for bonuses, overtime, and standard benefits. Candidates must possess 5+ years of experience in LIHTC and HUD Section 8 housing, including REAC/NSPIRE inspection certifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years-experience in affordable LIHTC & HUD Project Based Section 8 multi-family affordable housing property management
  • Successful experience with certifications, recertifications, REAC/NSPIRE inspections, and MORs
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of property management, accounting, inspections, collections, evictions, marketing
  • Strong computer skills – Yardi, Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint)
  • Willing to travel extensively to be on-site at properties within the RPM's assigned portfolio
  • Travel is typically daily but, often multi-day to properties within the region
  • Understanding of financials, budgets, regulations, all applicable affordable programs, local and state statutes
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to provide effective coverage and oversight for assigned community portfolio
  • Ability to work days, evenings and weekends as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • College degree preferred, but not required
  • CPM/HCCP/COS/certification or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Superb organizational and time-management skills, able to multi-task
  • Customer service - common courtesy and good communication skills with residents, clients, employees, and other individuals at all levels
  • Works well with minimal supervision and direction
  • Strong leadership, management, and supervisory skills
  • Ability to train and evaluate others, and develop skills and effectively manage performance
  • Strong resident relations skills, and a role model in conflict resolution and customer satisfaction
