Job Summary
Hire, train, supervise, and mentor General Managers while conducting performance evaluations and managing onsite employee status changes. Establish regular communication with employees, owners, and the VP; review and approve marketing activities, occupancy status, and unit pricing based on market surveys. Inspect properties regularly to maintain BHOM standards, evaluate maintenance and office operations, and conduct periodic inspections of vacant units. Audit administrative, accounting, and maintenance areas for compliance; maintain budgeted marketing and leasing plans to maximize NOI while monitoring resident accounts for charge accuracy. Serve as the liaison between owners and asset managers, providing necessary reporting and updates. Travel up to 50% or as needed; reasonable vehicle use required. Monday-Friday schedule with extended hours or weekends as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of campus departments and on-campus housing
- 2 years prior supervisory/Community Manager/General Manager experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications and strong, demonstrated computer technology skills (including social media use)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to plan and organize multiple tasks effectively
- Travel up to 50% or as needed
- Reasonable use of vehicle
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
- Ability to occasionally move about the office
- Ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate regularly and effectively with others, both written and verbally
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
- Close visual acuity
- Ability to travel locally, overnight, in specific regions or states via automobile and airplane
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Entrata or similar property management software
- Previous work experience in student/on-campus housing environment
