Job Summary
Operate a tractor with a tanker trailer to pick up and deliver propane to regional facility sites. Safely transfer product between transport and bulk storage while ensuring material is properly secured and within weight limits. Perform required daily vehicle inspections, maintain logbooks, and complete pre-trip/post-trip documentation. Submit delivery documents after each cycle and communicate with supervisors to maintain delivery schedules. Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies. Represent the company professionally to support customer loyalty and provide excellent service.
Required Qualifications
- CDL Class A license with Hazmat and Tank endorsements
- Commercial Operators License
- DOT Medical Certificate
- Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods
- Must have sufficient mobility to navigate through the pit area and customer locations
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds utilizing team lifting or mechanical assistance as needed or when reaching the current OSHA restrictions
- Must be able to see and hear normal traffic signals, road equipment, and hazards
- Must be able to clearly see and distinguish colors and patterns
- Must have the ability to use and understand simple arithmetic and algebraic equations
- Must be able to effectively communicate with a predominantly English-speaking customer base
- Must have the ability to work in an enclosed environment with other people
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- One year of experience driving commercial gravel trucks
- Demonstrate the proven ability to work with teams
- Must have mathematical aptitude, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience and awareness of safe truck loading and driving practices
