Job Summary
Oversee capital and renovation projects from scope development through bid analysis, coordinating with contractors and managing work schedules. Appraise damage at neighborhoods, determine in-house remedy capabilities, and solicit outside vendor bids for quality and cost. Assist in developing capital budgets and five-year forecasts while collaborating with onsite staff and regional leaders. Appraise asbestos, LBP, and mold response policies, monitoring contractor compliance and liability exposures. Provide leadership, training, and hiring recommendations to onsite Maintenance Supervisors and teams. This role requires three years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or in construction-related projects, including a background in maintenance and construction. Minimum three certificates from related institutions or four years inter-company experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Construction related projects
- A background in maintenance and construction
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum three certificates from related institutions reflecting completion of maintenance related courses, such as BOMA, IREM and/or vocational programs
- Four or more years inter-company experience
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local governing laws
- Ability to successfully interact with city building officials and professional engineers
- Knowledge of, and participation in, company safety policies
- Ability to complete routine Neighborhood inspections
