Job Summary
Regional Programme Coordinator responsible for supporting establishment and ongoing management of the Nurse Practitioner Training Support Scheme (NPTSS) across the Southern region. Collaborates with employers, tertiary education providers, cultural supervisors, and key partners to monitor trainee progress, ensure access to supervision, mentoring, and cultural support, and maintain programme quality and consistency. Role emphasizes relationship-building, coordination across primary, community, and secondary care, equity in health outcomes for Māori and Pacific peoples, Te Tiriti o Waitangi considerations, independent and collaborative work across multiple priorities, and facilitating end-to-end programme delivery with attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in programme coordination within primary, community, or aged care, or a similar healthcare environment
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and project coordination skills
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application to health and workforce development
- Current full driver’s licence
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office and other digital collaboration tools
