Job Summary
Lead strategic planning and evaluation for the Rehabilitation Regional Program, co-developing regional strategies that align with provincial mandates and Ministry of Health clinical services plans. Co-chair the Regional Program Committee, facilitate safety event reviews, and coordinate cross-regional quality improvement initiatives while managing inter-regional capacity and service delivery standards. Collaborate with Indigenous Health teams, academic leadership, and external partners to build culturally safe care pathways, implement service tiers across Communities of Care, and establish regional outcome targets. Represent VCH to provincial and national interest groups, conduct onsite visits to ensure alignment with site strategies, and oversee working groups to achieve performance targets and seamless patient care.
Required Qualifications
- A Medical degree
- Specialty certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Active licensure with the appropriate regulatory colleges as required for medical staff appointment
- Recognized clinical expertise in the field of the regional program
- Eligibility for medical staff privileges or CMP at VCH
- A minimum of 5 years' recent medical leadership experience in leadership roles in a health authority or comparable setting
- Experience preferably in an academic health science center
- Eligibility for a faculty appointment with the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine or the Simon Fraser University, School of Medicine

- An advanced degree in medical education, healthcare administration, or related field
