Job Summary
Source suppliers across the EAME region for CAT Solutions diesel and gas genset enclosures, negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts. Lead a team ensuring suppliers meet People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost metrics while managing solution capacity and capability. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to collect business requirements, develop standardized best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Execute strategic supply strategy aligned with Sales colleagues to secure manufacturing capacity for large electric power solutions. Based in Larne with 25-50% travel dependency, this role supports critical infrastructure for data centers and municipalities within Caterpillar's Electric Power Division.
Required Qualifications
- A completed university degree in engineering (Electrical or Mechanical), manufacturing, or related field
- Must be proficient in English
- Experience of working across Global Sales organisations
- Knowledge of the power generation equipment, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters
- Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques
- Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques
- Knowledge of relationship management techniques
- Ability to analyse the purpose and scope of a producer, product, process, or project in terms of cost and benefits
- Experience in Diesel and Gas Power Generators design and possibly sales
- Experience in scope of Data Centre standby and prime power sourcing requirements
- Extensive experience and knowledge of EAME CAT dealer network
- 25%-50% Travel dependent on home location
- This role will be based from the Larne facility
- This position requires working onsite five days a week
Desired Qualifications
- Second Languages in Arabic would also be very useful
