Job Summary
Receive and verify customer work requests, then enter data into the CMMS to assign work orders and optimize maintenance resource utilization. Develop and disseminate maintenance schedules while analyzing resource requirements to coordinate mechanical, electrical, and engineering services. Manage the maintenance backlog, maintain asset registries, and submit notifications for upcoming shutdowns to ensure materials and labor are available before scheduling. Collaborate with account management to recognize operational effects and review performance reports to highlight resolution of maintenance problems.
Required Qualifications
- High school/GED
- Associates degree in maintenance technology, preferred
- Good oral/written communication skills
- Tact
- Time management skills
- Strong administrative and mathematical skills
- Willingness to handle paperwork
- Working knowledge of personal computers
- Ability to navigate CMMS
- Ability to navigate MS Excel
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Ability to understand what constitutes good instructions
- Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
- Understanding of the proper use of work orders, priorities, scheduling, etc.
- Ability to keep multiple jobs in controlled motion—simultaneously
- Style and capability commanding respect within both maintenance and operating organizations
