Job Summary
The Regional Operations Planner at APM Terminals is responsible for planning crane movements for vessel loading and unloading sequences, ensuring stability and safety of vessels, and efficient operations both on the dock and ship. Responsibilities include coordinating activities to meet operational requirements, communicating loading and unloading plans, maintaining close coordination with terminals and operational strategies, and driving continuous improvement in planning processes. Key qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a related field, at least three years of experience in terminal operations, proficiency in Navis N4, and advanced communication skills in English and Spanish.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Port Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in container terminal operations
- Solid understanding of stowage criteria and container ship stability
- Deep knowledge of Navis N4 and associated optimization and automation modules
- Knowledge of safety regulations and safe work procedures
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus
- Flexibility to work different shifts and hours
