Job Summary
Regional Operations Manager role leading field operations for PTI's rail crew transportation across multiple locations. Oversees branch performance, safety, customer service, and operational effectiveness; responsibilities include assisting underperforming locations with recruiting and hiring, analyzing branches to identify root causes, managing fleet upfits and maintenance programs, installing safety equipment and technology (GPS, Drive Cam, railroad radios), coordinating vendor relationships, and maintaining strong relationships with railroad customers. Requires leadership in operations, field management, fleet coordination, CRM activities, and travel between locations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PTI software (DriveCam, Trimble, Crew) and a valid state driver’s license are required; English literacy and strong communication/organizational skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Minimum of 1+ year of supervisory or management experience
- Have a valid state driver’s license issued by the state of proposed employment
- Have at least 5 years of verifiable driving experience
- Must live within 30 minutes of the branch location
- Must be able to read, write, and converse in English
- Must be able to use a GPS/Technology System, read and understand roadmaps
- Must maintain a cell phone and keep PTI updated with current phone number
- Travel willingness for multiple locations as needed
- Ability to lift and pull up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to climb in and out of the vehicle
- Must be able to bend to inspect the undercarriage of a vehicle and tires
- Must be able to manually open and close all doors and hatches on the vehicle
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time when driving
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
