Job Summary
Regional Operations Manager responsible for the effective management of a team of Technicians across regions, providing operational leadership to the portfolio. Drives employee engagement, develops and implements processes, ensures compliance with health and safety standards, achieves service level agreements, deploys Technicians to projects, optimizes costs and work orders, collaborates with Dispatch and CMMS teams, and maintains regulatory compliance. Requires 5–10 years of trades operations experience with supervisory roles, a community college diploma or equivalent, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and technical expertise in refrigeration, electrical, or plumbing. Must lead and mentor technicians, manage safety training and PPE, and navigate union environments. Proficiency with systems like GeoTab, CMMS tools, and SOP development is expected.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of trades operations experience, with at least 5 years in supervisory or management role
- Community college diploma or equivalent training (e.g. RPA, CET)
- In-depth knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements
- Technical expertise in one or more skilled trades disciplines – refrigeration, electrical, plumbing
- Ability to lead and engage a team of skilled trades employees and drive performance to ensure all requirements are achieved
- Skilled at managing a skilled trades operations and employees
- Ability to develop and implement processes and standard operating procedures
- Skilled at influencing, persuading and negotiating
- Computer proficiency
- Trade certification in one or more of the following would be considered an asset: Journeyman level Refrigeration license; Journeyman level Electrical license; Journeyman level Plumbing license
