Job Summary
Evaluate new students enrolling in the program within 30 days using standardized tests and observation to assess cognitive, motor, and psychosocial development needs. Utilize treatment procedures involving physical, sensory, and recreational activities while participating in MET and IEP processes with school personnel, families, and physicians. Consult with teachers to support classroom goals, design adaptive equipment, and provide training on effective methods for mainstream integration. Maintain caseload files, log session progress, and promote school projects such as screenings and career days. Attend parent and teacher meetings as necessary while pursuing professional development to stay updated on research.
Required Qualifications
- Michigan: Occupational Therapist license issued by the Michigan Department of Education
