Job Summary
Regional Wound Care Nurse (RN) to support Wisconsin and Illinois sites as subject matter expert in wound care; provide hands-on clinical support, education, and program development across multiple facilities; travel up to 70–80%; 1099 consultant role; active RN license required with multi-state licensure preferred; Wound Care Certification preferred; 3–5 years wound care experience; develop training materials and lead QA initiatives; collaborate with DONs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams; travel by car/air; flexible schedule to meet facility needs.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (multi-state or ability to obtain licensure in WI and IL)
- Wound Care Certification preferred (e.g., WCC, CWCN, CWON)
- Minimum 3–5 years of wound care experience, preferably in post-acute care, SNF, or long-term care settings
- Strong working knowledge of wound care products, treatments, and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience in staff education, training, and clinical program development
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a regional schedule effectively
- Proficiency in EMR systems and clinical documentation
