Job Summary

Assisting and supporting Directors of Nursing and their teams within facilities by providing education, support, and audits. Develop and maintain nursing programs and policies, including updating written procedures, manuals, and objectives. Manage state surveys, train staff, and implement corrective action plans for deficiencies. Coordinate nursing services with other resident services. Requires three years of Director of Nursing experience in Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care, extensive knowledge of industry standards and regulations, and a nursing degree from an accredited institution. Travel between Utah and Wyoming is required.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years previous DON experience
  • Extensive knowledge of current standards of practice and the rules, regulations, and laws related to the Skilled Nursing Facility industries
  • Ability to teach this knowledge to others
  • A nursing degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved RN program
  • Must also meet state requirements for relevant licensures or certifications
  • Have no disciplinary action in effect against professional license
  • Travel will be required
