Job Summary
Mobile Diesel Service Manager leads and oversees all mobile service operations, coordinating scheduling/dispatch, supervising diesel technicians, ensuring safety/compliance, and optimizing profitability and customer satisfaction. Serves as primary field-service leader ensuring timely repairs, high-quality workmanship, and clear communication with customers, Parts, Service Advisors, Leasing, and Operations. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, coaching staff, ensuring repairs/maintenance meet manufacturer and company guidelines, maintaining safety culture, monitoring labor efficiency and billing practices, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure tool and parts availability, and supporting recruiting/onboarding of mobile diesel technicians. Demonstrates leadership, operational planning, customer service excellence, and safety and technical diesel knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical or diesel technology education preferred
- Minimum 5 years of diesel service experience with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience in a diesel service manager role or foreman managing field service or mobile repair operations is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of heavy-duty truck systems including engines, aftertreatment systems, electrical diagnostics, and preventive maintenance practices
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required
