Job Summary

Develop professional relationships with Scientific Leaders to exchange approved medical and scientific information on therapeutic areas and Company products. Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions, address SL inquiries, and direct out-of-scope issues to appropriate resources while maintaining current knowledge of the clinical environment. Initiate discussions with investigators to align research strategies, identify barriers to patient enrollment, and recommend study sites for phase II-IV clinical development programs. Engage in scientific congresses to facilitate data exchange and gather feedback on medical needs and priorities. Maintain consistent adherence to field and corporate policies, including GCP guidelines and GMSA strategy, while serving as a role model for field medical team members. Candidates must reside in the Chicago region, travel up to 50%, and hold a terminal degree in a relevant field.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD
  • Proven competence and a minimum of 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond that obtained in the terminal degree program, e.g., COPD/Respiratory
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills
  • Principled verbal and written communications
  • Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with key external stakeholders
  • Dedication to scientific excellence with a strong focus on scientific education and dialogue
  • Thorough comprehension of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations relevant to the pharmaceutical industry and its customers
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote)
  • Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms
  • Valid Driving License
  • Ability for travel up to 50% within the territory
