Job Summary
Regional Medical Director of Ambulatory Clinical Operations leads clinical leadership for multisite ambulatory practice, establishing clinical standards and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered, value-based care. Acts as physician co-leader with ambulatory operations, overseeing provider performance, onboarding, succession planning, and workforce optimization. Responsible for standardizing provider workflows and documentation, driving quality and population health initiatives, and partnering with operations to align clinical goals with operational execution. Provides mentorship and professional development for physicians and physician assistants, participates in committees, and leads change to improve access, outcomes, and patient experience across assigned sites.
Required Qualifications
- MD
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- Residency in Internal Medicine or Family Practice or fellowship/experience in Geriatrics
- Experience in value-based organizations, advanced primary care, startups or managed care (3+ years preferred)
- Experience managing providers/groups
- Be legally authorized to practice in the state
- Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations
