Job Summary
Coordinate regional medical care and quality services by leading cost management, utilization review, and quality assurance. Develop clinical policies, protocols, and disease management programs while supervising risk coding and provider performance. Manage recruitment, assign work, and oversee documentation, care planning, and continuing education for medical staff. Monitor patient satisfaction, review complaints, and ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and regulatory standards. Handle physician behavior issues and adverse events. May deliver direct patient care and travel to clinics as needed.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO medical degree from an accredited school of medicine
- 5 years of experience as a primary care clinic Medical Director
- 2 years of experience working with a multicultural patient population delivering patient-centered programs that are high quality and cost effective
- Unrestricted physician medical license to practice medicine in the selected state
- Board certified in one of the primary care specialties
- Advanced English
- Flexible to travel per business needs
- Ability to travel periodically to clinics, market sites, and corporate meetings as required
- Comfort managing in a fast-paced, multi-site healthcare organization
- Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences)
