Job Summary
Program Physician provides medical care for patients with substance use disorders, focusing on Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). Responsibilities include performing physical exams and histories, diagnosing substance use and co-occurring conditions, prescribing and adjusting MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone), monitoring patient progress, reviewing labs and drug screens, documenting care, collaborating with internal/external providers, and supervising medical staff as needed. Requires strong MAT knowledge, clinical judgment, effective communication, teamwork, and commitment to regulatory compliance and quality initiatives. Will support training, meetings, and clinical consultation as needed in a multi-location addiction-treatment network.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO with active state license and DEA registration
- Board certified in a relevant specialty
- Completed accredited residency program
- Experience in addiction medicine or behavioral health preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification required
