Job Summary
Perform preventative and routine maintenance on mechanical equipment and building systems across Carle Health facilities. Utilize electronic work order systems to document tasks, track activities, and conduct inspections. Identify and correct mechanical deficiencies, minor electrical repairs, and structural or carpentry issues, or coordinate with appropriate trades. Respond to emergency situations including power failures, water leaks, and equipment breakdowns. Move and install furniture, cabinetry, and fixtures, and coordinate facility relocations. Assist senior mechanics with assigned projects while maintaining a safe work environment. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between regional facilities required. Salary range $20.59–$34.39 per hour.

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in facility maintenance, mechanical repair, building maintenance, or a related skilled trade
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, preventative maintenance practices, and basic electrical troubleshooting
- Experience with carpentry, furniture installation, and general facility repairs
- Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of building systems, equipment maintenance, and preventative maintenance procedures
- Ability to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks with minimal supervision
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety practices
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and respond effectively to emergency situations
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, manuals, and technical documentation
