Job Summary
Regional Manager for the State of Oklahoma responsible for safe, efficient, compliant operations of water and wastewater utility systems within the region. Oversees personnel and activities related to operation and maintenance, customer service, billing, financial planning, contract administration, and business development. Responsibilities include evaluating staff, budgeting and cost control, ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., with TCEQ in applicable regions), maintaining CMMS usage, preparing bids and contracts, developing client relationships, and reporting to senior leadership. Requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional coordination across operations, maintenance, and regulatory interfaces; travel within Oklahoma is required.
Required Qualifications
- Clean driving record
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license
- Must reside within the State of Oklahoma
- 10 years of progressive utility or related experience, with last 3 years in a management capacity
- Experience supervising and managing a workforce (50+ employees)
- Knowledge of safety and operations in water/wastewater / public works
- Ability to read blueprints (preferred)
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions; strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage budgets, cost controls, and profitability (net operating profit target)
- Experience with CMMS, customer service/billing systems, and basic accounting concepts
- Ability to develop and manage budgets for a region and prepare bids/proposals/contracts
- Ability to establish relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and staff
- Ability to travel within the state; 24/7 readiness and emergency response when required
- Non-compete and confidentiality agreement to be signed at hire
- Bachelor-level or higher qualifications not explicitly required but related to utility management and operations may be beneficial
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
