Regional Manager - Southern WA *LIHTC + HUD EXP Required $1,000 Sign-on Bonus*

Job Summary
Monitor and manage all communities to achieve financial and operational targets, including reviewing variance reports, approving vendor purchase orders, and overseeing portfolio collections. Conduct regular physical and operational inspections at least twice annually, prepare annual budgets with Community Managers, and coordinate audits with Syndicators and state agencies. Recruit, interview, and hire community managers and maintenance technicians while ensuring all new hires complete training within 30 days. Represent the portfolio to local PHAs, state agencies, and industry organizations to enhance marketing efforts and maintain industry knowledge. Travel up to 80% within the assigned region, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, to drive a vehicle or golf cart for site visits and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in property management
- Recent experience as a Regional Property Manager
- Experience in managing LIHTC and HUD multifamily properties
- Related Management Certification (ARM, CAM, CAPS, CPM, etc.)
- Related Affordable Certification (HCCP, COS, SHCM, CPO, etc.)
- Working knowledge of applicable Landlord Tenant Laws
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing Regulations
- Working knowledge of LIHTC/HUD Programs
- Experience managing up to 1,500 units within a multi-site region
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel up to 80% within assigned region
- Ability to travel up to 10% outside of assigned region
- Must be able to travel to and from off-site locations without advance notice
- Strong understanding of financial statements
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local fair housing laws and provisions
- Superior customer service skills including the ability to manage difficult customers and/or situations
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Detail oriented; ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Ability to draw data driven insights from systems-driven reporting
- Working knowledge of Office 365
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
