Job Summary
Execute strategic objectives for the In.Business mentorship program, including recruiting Indigenous high school students and business mentors while establishing key contacts and identifying funding opportunities. Maintain productive relationships with internal CBU schools, departments, and external partners to support program execution and deliver up to two annual conferences. Manage the regional budget, track project timelines and deliverables, and coordinate logistics for meetings, events, and travel. Prepare reports and documentation for stakeholders, provide administrative support for scheduling and document management, and assist team members with ongoing initiatives. This one-year limited-term position at CBU's Membertou Office requires a Master's degree, knowledge of Indigenous communities, and proficiency in proposal writing and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Indigenous communities and experience working with and in communities
- Demonstrated capacity for proposal writing, administrative support, and reporting
- Demonstrated capacity for organization with attention to detail in a multi-task environment
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic and able to work well with other disciplines
- Effective relationship management, strong verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
- A demonstrated ability to deliver major collaborative partnerships with external partners in a timely and professional manner, including execution of multiple short- and long-term projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with word processing, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentation development
- Willingness and ability to travel
