Job Summary
Oversee a local portfolio of approximately 1,500 units across Southwest Houston, providing leadership, operational oversight, and financial management to ensure strong performance. Supervise onsite property management teams to maintain occupancy, retention, and NOI targets while leading rehab projects and implementing annual budgets. Drive revenue growth through market surveys, competitor analysis, and leasing strategies, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and city regulations. Foster a high-performance culture by leading hiring, training, and performance management of onsite staff. Act as a brand ambassador by engaging with local businesses, schools, and residents to promote community partnerships and support long-term retention.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, real estate or related field
- Minimum four (4) years of related property management experience with multi-family
- Minimum one (1) year of experience leading a team
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Strong leadership, business acumen, and understanding of multi-family real estate
- Possesses the knowledge to follow applicable federal, state, and city regulations involving Fair Housing, health and safety policies and procedures & other aspects of residential and multi-family property management
- Must be able to use a personally owned vehicle to travel to assigned local properties within Greater Houston
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and use of property management software
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, real estate or related field preferred
- Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS) a plus
- Proficiency with RealPage is a plus
