Job Summary
Regional Manager in Ontario responsible for planning and executing the Annual Business Plan to achieve sales targets, building and maintaining broker relationships, and promoting Wawanesa Life as a leading insurance provider. Responsibilities include developing broker relationships, collaborating with Head Office, communicating effectively (verbal, written, listening), making informed decisions, staying current with industry changes, applying product knowledge (Wawanesa Life), and negotiating effectively. The role requires proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI) and CRM systems (Salesforce or similar). Major duties emphasize Sales Development (90% of time) with territory management, plan implementation, and budget adherence, plus ancillary duties (10%) including liaison between Head Office, brokers, and clients, tool promotion, and market trend analysis. Travel within the Ontario region and to Head Office as needed. Employment type is existing role with eligibility to be licensed within 90 days (Ontario). Required Qualifications
- Ability to be licensed within 90 days or currently licensed to transact life insurance sales in Ontario
- 5+ years of proven sales experience, with a focus on initiating contact, presenting, and closing deals
- Preference for university degree and/or industry designations such as CLU, CFP or CHS
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel within the region, including overnight travel as needed
- Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
