Job Summary
Lead a team of 6-10 field technicians and subcontractors by creating, scheduling, and approving daily work orders while remotely guiding troubleshooting and repair. Conduct monthly training, skills verification, and QA/QC reviews; prepare technicians with proper tools and materials for safe execution. Coordinate emergency response with a 365-day coverage guarantee and participate in a monthly on-call rotation. Take technician phone calls seven days a week, review personnel hours weekly, and manage the business unit budget. Plan annual preventative maintenance for electrical and vegetation systems, order parts via inventory procedures, and administer skills assessments. Maintain technical expertise in solar O&M best practices and lead site safety meetings.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in utility solar PV
- 3 years of service or project-oriented management experience
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds frequently
- Working knowledge and experience operating under OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skill
- Team oriented attitude
- Prioritizes safety daily, actively participate and lead site safety meeting
- General computer, network, and technology proficiency
- Proficiency reading technical spec documents, site plans, & electrical schematics
- Ability to create and support team moral
