Job Summary
Oversee operational, financial, and physical performance of a portfolio of multifamily apartment communities. Drive occupancy, leasing performance, resident retention, and overall property profitability. Lead, coach, and develop Leasing Managers, Service Supervisors, Resident Service Coordinators, and onsite teams. Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop employees within the portfolio. Monitor KPIs such as occupancy, delinquency, renewals, and service requests; ensure compliance with Fair Housing and safety standards; coordinate capital improvements and vendor management; provide regular updates to executive leadership and collaborate across internal teams. Travel regularly between properties to provide leadership and support.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of residential property management, regional management, multifamily housing, maintenance management, or related leadership experience preferred
- Multi-site apartment management experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of residential property operations, leasing practices, resident retention strategies, maintenance operations, budgeting, revenue management, and customer service principles
- Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical)
- Experience overseeing capital improvement projects, vendor management, and asset preservation initiatives
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and multifamily compliance requirements
- Experience with Yardi or similar property management software preferred
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and achieve operational and financial goals
- Excellent communication, organizational, conflict-resolution, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel regularly between assigned properties
