Regional Manager - Animal Feeds

Job Summary
Drive regional sales growth for day-old chicks and animal feeds by developing strategies, expanding distribution networks, and onboarding new customers including smallholder farmers and commercial poultry farms. Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely, safe deliveries while managing inventory and demand forecasting. Build long-term relationships with stakeholders, provide technical guidance on chick management and feeding programs, and resolve customer complaints. Lead a team of sales representatives and field officers by setting performance targets, coaching staff, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability. Ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations and submit regular market and financial reports to head office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agribusiness, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- 5–7 years' experience in poultry, livestock, or agribusiness sales and/or regional management
- Strong technical understanding of poultry production, chick handling, feed programs, and biosecurity
- Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and managing regional operations
- Strong leadership, people management, and coaching skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
- Commercially astute with strong planning and analytical skills
- High level of integrity, accountability, and customer focus
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned region
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic ERP or sales management systems
