Regional Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Conduct routine interior and exterior visual inspections of assigned properties and perform FMP maintenance. Execute repairs including electrical work, plumbing fixes, drywall/texturing, and HVAC troubleshooting. Assist Property Maintenance Technicians with pending tasks, schedule visits, and provide ongoing training. Complete work orders, submit weekly schedules, and document site visits while responding to emergency calls. Identify life, safety, or structural issues immediately and notify the Supervisor. Travel to different locations within the market, including overnight stays, to ensure properties are maintained to guest standards.

Required Qualifications

  • A valid driver's license
  • Current auto insurance
  • A functioning automobile
  • Willingness to uphold company standards
  • Ability to compose and express thoughts in a clear and understandable way to ensure effective communication
  • Ability to manage multiple activities often in stressful situations
  • Possess working knowledge of air conditioning systems and equipment, including installation, maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge of general safety procedures such as selecting proper wire and fuse sizes and more
  • Possess knowledge and ability to perform a variety of general maintenance repairs
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify needs and parts
  • Possess working knowledge of electrical systems and components, electrical supplies and materials and the proper application of the same
  • Possess skill and ability to operate hand and power tools (drills, volt-OHM meter, amprobe, etc.); dial indicators and testing equipment for air, water balancing and control calibration
  • Ability to organize oneself and one's work and the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Working knowledge of split systems, boiler rooms and oil pumps
  • Ability to climb and stand on ladders at heights of up to approximately 30 feet
  • Visual ability to read manufacturer instructions and the ability to discern various colors of electrical wiring
  • Ability to work long hours on a regular basis (which may include weekends), as business conditions demand
  • Lifting and carrying over 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs
  • Traveling by car in the local/regional market on an everyday basis
  • Overnight travel – flying or driving

Desired Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Possess working knowledge of electrical systems and components, electrical supplies and materials and the proper application of the same
  • Possess skill and ability to operate hand and power tools (drills, volt-OHM meter, amprobe, etc.); dial indicators and testing equipment for air, water balancing and control calibration
  • Ability to organize oneself and one's work and the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Working knowledge of split systems, boiler rooms and oil pumps
