Job Summary
Lead, coach, and support Area Maintenance Supervisors and on-site teams across Denver metro, Summit, and Routt Counties, traveling 60–75% of the time to provide hands-on operational leadership. Oversee preventative maintenance programs, emergency responses, and capital improvement projects from planning through completion, while managing operating budgets and vendor relationships. Conduct property, agency, and quality assurance inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Fair Housing standards, and analyze work order trends to drive long-term operational improvements. Respond to escalated emergencies and after-hours situations as needed, adapting strategies to diverse property types.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of multifamily maintenance leadership experience with multi-site responsibility
- Experience supporting large apartment portfolios with strong operational oversight
- Demonstrated success managing capital improvement (CapEx) projects, maintenance budgets, and vendor relationships
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to coach and develop teams
- Flexible, creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, building systems, preventative maintenance, OSHA, EPA, and regulatory compliance
- EPA Universal (or Type II) Certification
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle
- Acceptable driving record
- The ability to drive frequently throughout Colorado with regular overnight travel
- Travel approximately 60–75% of the time
- Spending three to four days each week at properties providing hands-on leadership and operational support
